Fantastic capture. Only criticism I have is the text to the left. It really disturbs alot. I dont think you have to worry about copyrights, given the small formats of usefilm.
Anyway, congrats on this excellent portrait.

great nightshot. Seeing this photo it is evident to me how the americans are able to consume 1/4th of the worlds energy *lol*
At least it makes for great photography! Congrats on this photo.

*lol* this looked like something completely different as a thumbnail. My mind is in the gutter :-/ For sure a nice associative photo ;-)

Thanks for your comment on "tree title". I know wellplaced icecold sarcasm when I see it, and/or how could I miss such a fine example *lol*
I admit, I was completely uninspired when I took that shot.

great lighting and great lines. I love this type of nightphotography.
I think the composition leaves something to wish for. Its like the left half side is irrelevant or too dark somehow. I think I would crop much closer to the lighttraces.
keep it up.

Great photo Shelby. I think the extreme highlights adds a certain lightweight to the picture. Very fitting since its an angel. The deep reds are a fantastic contrast.
Stunning work (as always)

intruiging! wonder about the title and the history behind this. Is it some sort of masochism/fetish shot? Anyway, interesting, and well done. I love those shadows.

extraterrestrial Beauty !!!!!
Fantastic expression and softness. 1 thing: I would have cropped it so she wasnt so centered, but rules are there to be broken they say. I am really impressed with this portrait. Well done, and welcome ;-)

"None can stop them.
They reign as the two strongest forces in the universe.
Burning and incarnating,
We thrive on them.
Heated Rage
Searing flesh, heart and soul alike.
Heated Passion
Warming flesh, heart and soul alike.
Clashing often,
Lines become blurred.
As the warmth of a loved one drawn close;
As the scorching of an enemy drawing near.
We are the sun;
Feel our heat.
Such wreckless stars, we are"

Hi and thank you all for the nice comments. I appreciate it alot, even though I forgot to say so ;-)
Dear Kathleen, thanks for analyzing the photo. It was really interesting to read your thoughts. Regarding my words, I dont agree with them myself, but I thought they were funny, so it goes well with the humor category. I think its great the couple made you think of the connection between the two, thats what I like about the photo myself, the archtype (or general) posture of the man and woman. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I'm also happy you chose this photo to continue the debate from the forum, because it is a good example. I agree with you that it can be annoying not knowing whether a photo is fake or not, and sometimes if the photographer tries to pass it as being real, I end up not liking the photo however great it looks. In this case, I thought I didnt have to explain that the sky was altered. I've never seen such a black sky, and I'd be surprised if anyone had. I didnt add anything that wasnt already there though. I emphasized the dramatic sky with only the burn/dodge photoshop tools, tools which has been used throughout time in wet darkrooms. Why did I do it, if the photo could go without? Because my taste dictated it *wink* I am a sucker for drama, and the sky symbolizes my view on the connection between the couple.
I appreciate the chance to explain myself, dont be affraid to critize Kathleen. Thats what we all came here for....

best regards, Lars.

PS. This is the untouched photo (though desaturated) without the burn/dodging.

I'm crazy about your face. It was created for photography. What I love in particular about your gallery is the stringent concentration you put into capturing the same facial expression in a million different moods. That is so bad-ass and highly inspiring. Do you have a stockaccount somewhere? *lol* I'd love to have your gorgeous face on my photoshop workspace ;-)
Keep it up!
