Dear Manu & Associate,
What a powerful picture you have here! Wide Angle Lenses Make pictures of POWER...it's as if I am standing right there...looking up at this massive structure! OLE! John W. Meyers

Anurag,
Here you have an opportunity to get in close and pick out the part that STANDS OUT! By trying to get EVERYTHING, you gain nothing! This take some practice, but you must master isolating you subject. If you want the whole shubang, hire a helo, and fly over and snap some pictures. But, if you want PRO wrok, then pick out something that will draw the viewer's attention...and isolate, isolate, isolate! jwm

Gary,
Here's another beautiful portrait that needs to sharp focus (face and hair). I like her gaze...wonder what it would be like with her gaze directed towards the camera? Good work Gary! jwm

Gary,
This is too busy for me. BUT it has potential! I like the PARTS of this...the dancer, tom-toms, tee-pees and especially the SKY! I do not know if you can do (with that big old 8 x 10) what I am going to suggest. Get down low and as close as you can to your main subject (the round dancer) and try hard to include the tee-pees and that sky! I imagine this will require a fair degree of planning and luck. So good luck! jwm

Robbie,
Wow! What good shadow! I like how you got right in there...nice and close...to you subject. The only comment I've got, is I would like to see the focus (on the eye) a touch sharper. This is really good work. I will look forward to seeing more of your art! jwm

This is an interesting picture. What was the light source? jwm

Gary,
Another good picture, but due to the time of day (high contrast) and harsh lighting takes away from what otherwise would have been a really good picture. This same picture, taken on an overcast day might have turned out very diferently. For some good pointers, see 'Any Light Can Be The Right Light' by Judith Pishnery; Photographic (Nov,2004) or visit www.photographic.com jwm

Gary,
Nice picture! I love the background surrounding your subject. Your subject has so much beautiful detail that I would suggest moving in closer. Prehapes use of a telefoto might do the trick. Really a great picture! jwm

Dear T-z.,
Understanding that basic principle: "Don't Mess With the Law", I still feel the need to comment. This is an interesting compostition and development technique. Did you accomplish this in the darkroom or on the computer. Nice Job! Keep up the good work. jwm

Gary,
You do some neat stuff with that Wisner! To me, this picture is a little busy, and from my perspective, it looks slightly out of focus. May I suggest moving in closer to your subject (effectively cropping out the foreground), and sharpenning up your focus. Otherwise, very nice. jwm

Gary,
I like this picture very much but...I feel it would have been better if the fisherman was not in it! If you just have to have him in it, then try cropping the right side to help balance the picture. Otherwise, GREAT! Keep up the good work. jwm

Marie,
The HOT pink is definitely there, but you need to work on your depth of field (center of flower in out of focus). You have a very good camera with which to work. So practice, practice, practice!

Bulent Ahiskal:
I like this work! Good composition with great back-, mid- and foreground. I like those skies with lots of clouds that just make me want to snap pictures and fast as I can. Very good focus (nice and sharp). I wonder how a child would see this (from his eyes). Keep showing us your fine work. jwm

Once again you have provided a 'different' approach to seeing what is all around us. Did you achieve this effect through use of software; and if so what technique do you use? Thanks again for a very nice work. jwm

I've been over the gg bridge lots of times but I never 'saw it'...like this! The rule for sailing is, 'One hand for the ship and one hand for yourself. I see you have one for the wheel, one for the camera and two eyeballs behind the camera. Now that is both brave and tough!. One good picture. Keep up the good work! jwm

This is just great! The subject's mouth is beautiful and makes this viewer want to see more (ie it detracts from the work). I think this work could be enhanced by cropping just above the subjects hand. Otherwise, excellent! Keep showing us your good work. jwm

Lately, I've been view the 'Editor's Choice' and it seems like all I can say is excellent! Your work and 'Twilight Conversation' is very good. I've got to get myself one of those digitals! Keep up the good work. jwm

This is really a nice picture of the GGB. I Would be interested in seeing it w/o the sky polarization (just makes it look 'different'). Love you parasail photo. Are you going to try some pic from one??? Keep up to good work and don't do anything crazy. Also, I admire your 'picture to the sea' (KISS) jwm

I like this GGB photo, but wonder if it might to better w/o the sky polarizer. Otherwise, perfect! Where were you when you took this one? jwm

Eolo,
I just had to make one comment here. First, I think you work is most professional. You are an artist! This work looks almost like it is a photograve (sp). Is it? I look forward to more...what a feast for the eye!. John

You have captured this moment in time beautifully. Kids are such great models because they live in the 'here and now'! And she is so lucky that you captured it. jwm

Nice work Stefan! My only question is the amount of lighting on the face...but that is probably just me. It is still a marvalous work! Bravo!!! jwm

I really like the emotional appeal of this art work. Only one small critique: I would have like to see your subjects standout more from the background. Very Good!
