Very nicely done. Something to add to your toy collection might be a flash for the front of your lens for macro photos. Nevertheless, I like this shot very much the way you shot it. I can see how it would be hard to remove the "hot spots" without scaring off the butterfly. Nice catch.

Yannic Meerbergen, Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm more of a purist when it comes to my photos. I shoot them as I see them and try to keep them as close to the real thing. I don't think nature needs much help from us and if a person looks hard enough they will see the beauty all around them.

The first thing I thought was "Oh, my God! This is how I want to take photos"
Thank you for sharing. I do see your hesitation with the balance, there is only a slight loss of detail in the rocks, maybe a reflector would have filled in the rocks just enough? Hard to say without actuually being there. Excellant shot, nontheless. ~vicky~

Thanks for the feedback. I can't seem to get the upload to look the same as the original photos. I'm still an amateur when it comes to uploading. My original photo is saved at ~150 resolution 750x860. I resized to 72 res and made the image closer to 325x430. I get a lot of pixalation in the upload. Any suggestions to make inprovements would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much! I found that I think I need a new scanner. The original has better color saturation and sharper detail.

The contrast between the beautiful woman and her surroundings are quite striking. This image is shocking that women actually might do this to themselves, in these kinds of surroundings.

I am not an art critique, but would like to say a couple of things about your image. The image caught my emotional side and pulled me into your image. You have an excellent eye for photography. The emotional element in this is the most compelling and important piece to your art. The only thing I could think of that might use improvement is the lighting, but this may have been from the developing of the print. It's a little flat. (this does not detract from you image) You should consider yourself more than a beginner. Excellent! Thank you.
