Really nice capture. I like the intense colors. It looks more to me like a katydid.

Wonderful colours, John, and a nice contrast with the delicately detailed bug and the vivid but 'flat' flower.
Best regards, Chris

Long live one tree hill. and could somebody please cut down the idoit that cut the f*ing tree.
Everyone knows of one tree hill in Aotearoa and that was a crying shame what had happened to it, worse than he americas cup incident!!.
Anyways, great to see that there has been an effort to restore its legacy, nice shot.
Caleb.

Very good lighting over such a large image. I am unsure about the border colour though.

John, this is pretty well done here. I want to see more of the flowers shape though. Maybe shoot it at a slight angle so you can see the rear of the flower moving into the background? Also, try experimenting with smaller and larger apertures. :-)

Someone mentioned Zoo? I thought this was your dog. haha. I lvoe elephants and this looks like a youngun. Great shot. Wonderful detail throughout the entire image. Lovely colours. He looks happy too which is the main thing.

Thank you also for taking the time to view and comment on my Space Shuttle image. It did generate quite a bit of interest so tomorrow I'll post another photo of it. Oh by the way...you'd better detox your computer after viewing that image so you don't pick up any space germs. Cheers - Ann

This one had me laughing out loud. It looks like he's getting ready to do a headstand -- wouldn't that be something? A really great shot!

I think I would have cropped it a bit on the left. The blurred fronds are a bit distracting.

What a cutie. The orange shirt really brings up her smile. Try cropping in to rid the image of the distracting background.
