Thanks Robbie, I am using a 760nm filter that I purchased on ebay. I was thinking the same thought about the polariser.....I have to get a 77mm one. Your shots are beautiful.

If you photoshop cs2 try the Highlight/Shadows Filter to open up the shadows.

A warm, provocatively moody image with beautiful composition. The model's thoughts are definitely somewhere else and lend some element of mystery to the image. Lovely young woman. Maybe cloning out the two hot spots might have helped. Anson

Hello Anson, thanks for the comment. I am an old house freak for sure. Living in Lafayette in the "Hysterical" District has me surrounded by the old houses. I shot the photo in RAW and used ACR to set the white balance. I then opened in Photoshop did the channel swap, added a hue/sat later and messed with the curves a bit. I am attaching the original shot. It was kinda busy, but I wanted to post something as I had not in many moons.

Nice experimenting Tim . . . I like the composition but to my eye it seems a bit static . . . likely due to the preponderance of centrality. I think pulling the left side crop in a bit might make it more dynamic. Still, all in all it's an interesting shot.

I am working on a method to "digify" some of my earlier film work without resorting to the purchase of a film scanner. Perhaps I will break down and get one of the Epsons that can handle 120 film. I love both my D70 and D2H but they are not the same as film.

Good light and skin tones in this self portrait. The shadow on the left of the image helps add to the perspective IMO.
