Dear Aspasia,

Thanks for your comment. Actually it is the model who is sophisticated. I am just amateur. You must be newly joining this Usefilm. Welcome.

I like to see these young happy faces. See the hope there. Kambiz, you are really a great photographer, having a pair of magic eyes and hands.

Jacques,
I like all your lantern shots. I was not able to shoot one with satisfactory although we have lantern exhibition every year during Lantern Festival around September. Maybe there were lot of people around the lantern, not really getting a right place to aim at. Congrat anyway. --Eric

Thanks Chris and others for comments. This is one of the sourveniors from Sebu when we visited there several years ago. Just an ordinary sea shell. Attached is the original pic; not with good background. I used a plug-in, which came with Wacom drawing board called Nik Color Efex Pro 2.0. I used the Pen function of PS to make the selection of the left side and filled in black colour; then changed to solarization colour with that plug-in. Just an experiment to me. Again, it was excited to have received you guys positive comments. Thanks again.

Angie,
I love this one. Good try on B/W. I got one similar to this one--a child with hands behind. Please look at my profolio.

After reading something about Ansel Adams, I kind of tend to imagine how a photo like this would be when turned to B/W. Could be having more impact than the colour one. Amyway, I like this nice framed photo with clear every thing. --Eric

I was amazed by Roger's comment, which is a very good piece of nutrient that every reader, esp, those like me as a amateur in photography. It tell you how you would think and associate object to the environment. Anyway, I do like this photo. -- Eric

Nicola,
I am not sure I agree with the title; but I really like the perspective view you captured. The light reflected on the water on the right side of the photo adds a good credit on this photo.

Thanks for your comments on my photos. -- Eric

This is an interesting shot. The two trees look like two old friends meeting again; and the Mt. Fuji witnesses this union. Craig, you sure found good spots for your series of Mt. Fuji. They all came out wonderful with yor technicality. From you I might learn that not only does a musician take each note seriously when he/she plays, but he/she also take other things seriously too.

Well done.

Stefanos,
I like the composition and light of this picture. Good use of high ISO. Never thought of using such high ISO. However, our concert hall never allow us to use camera. BTW, thanks for your comment on my "Mom and son". --Eric

Jennifer,
Congratulation. A great work. What you got from this "study" would be interesting me. To me, this work reveals what a beautiful lady is - sensual, soft, and what's most, complicated (the layers and the colours are hinging on their own directions). --Eric

Bjorn,
Thanks for your comment on my photo "Hilda". Looking on your series of USEFILM photos, you seem to like taking insects photos. My son too. So I bought this 350D with Canon 100mm Macro USM. I does a good job on getting a good detail on small animals. Do you just have a 50mm len. I understand you are back to school and probably the budget is tight. But if your budget is ok, get a macro len for this kind of interest. You will be amazed. --Eric

Thank you very much for your viewing and comment. It is a good question although I did not really think of it really hard about the meaning when I took this photo. I usually take pictures by my first intuition, i.e. I like it or not. As I remember, I was in a quiet and small fishing village. Almost every thing was quiet and still, not much movement there. And the lineup and the colour of these container attracted my attention, and I shot them. And as a result, I really like it and posted it for sharing. Thanks again.
