I had already seen and commented this your jewel, one true pearl for this fascinating and touched city therefore from the cold of the snow! the magic silhouette and mood. strangely he is not in the favorites, here, now is flown. and soon an other will arrive award.. i hope..

love the toning...
GREAT shot Tomasz...
wish someone could teach me how to create these images... I do see them on the streets.. but its hard to get capture in this particular way to end up in a beautifull shot like this one...

Looking at the thumbnail, I thought it'd be a Diana picture, which brought me in. Don't know what a lensbaby is but it must be some kind of halo-effect lens addition which simulates the effects of an Imagon-type soft-lens for large-format cameras? I find this a bit headache-inducing, too strong. But it sure is a different effect and that's always interesting.

the blurring is due to the lens 'lensbaby' which by it's nature distorts the image in such way. As far as managing the exposure it was a trial end error. Lensbaby does not meter with NIkon D100 so I was adjusting shutter speed to manage acceptible exposure.

beautiful! I love the lighting.. how did you do it without the model getting too backlit? I don't think that I would have blurred the legs as much, they look as if they are not attached to the rest of her.
