Im just an amateur photographer.. thanks for your comments kathleen.. About the picture being dark, i played around with its brightness and contrast using Photoshop. What i am trying to achieve was to get close to the original picture as possible after scanning.. Pardon my bad scanning.

i like her face, i like the b&w, i like the power of the image and the angle you shot her at. She is so very elegant and beautiful! For me it is just a little dark. Maybe my monitor? She's also positioned a bit low in the frame. But as with your other bride image, it's fascinating and makes me want to see more! regards: kat~

This image is mysterious and far more interesting than 99.99% of bride photos. i think people forget the really tremendous import and impact of the marriage ceremony. This one event changes the course of two lives forever, maybe even into the next life if we believe in resurrection. You have reminded me here of the mystical and the spiritual nature of the ceremony with your moody black and white, your deep shadows, the gleaming satin of her white dress, the modest position of her hands in prayer and the serene expression on her face. This doesn't seem to be a bride intent on rushing through the ritual to get to the reception. I wish an entire wedding could be shot like this. What a series it would be!! i too wonder about that thing behind her head. It looks like a plant or the halo of a plaster saint that mysteriously appears behind her head. Best regards: kat~

Yup. Im using an EPSON 1260 flatbed, Did some touch up using Photoshop ver 6.0 Even that didnt help much. I think i need to take up some lesson using this scanner, pretty bad scanning.

hey bro! i am assuming this is scanned from a flatbed....image quality seems to be a little on the soft-side. the scan didnt do this image justice! =)
forgive my ignorance, but is that a plant in the background behind the head or is it part of the head-gear?
