agree with Antonio about the composition and colors. Don't agree about cooking preferences, too chilli 
It's a very nice photograph, Rodney. What makes it more appealing to me is this combination of red, green and black (frame). Very neat work.

i like additional post adjustments,
in your scanner program, there should be brightness and contrast adjustment. MIRA scan program has it. Adobe Photoshop has also options helping you deal with that. Actually when scanning, you may adjust scanner to show your pictures in Adobe format, ready for immediate adjustments (then just save as jpg).

Beautiful colors, beautiful capture, beautiful location. I like the diversity of all blue and white tones and emotions they produce. Blue sky sharper at the front, more pale by the horison. Water in all sorts of tones: almost tourquoise on the right, deep blue closer to the front (right) - against white wave splash on the left. Very Nice! And focus on green in the front to avoid any chance of any possible blue/white monotony. EXCELLENT work!
