Nice composition, and you caught him in a perfect stance. Great job; great portfolio, Larry.

Great image, Emanuele--a whole new way of looking at foliage.

So often, what makes street shots commonplace is the lack of a connection with one figure as a center of interest. This picture is masterful precisely because, in addition to the interest created by whatever interaction is taking place, you connected with the one man smiling--and he connects with us. Great job.

Excellent juxtaposition of the dog, with the boy's expression in the background. Fine work.

This is priceless, Mick. Thanks for adding me to your friends list. Your porfolio is great--the kind of work I like to do myself and the only thing that interests me in photography. Keep commenting on my stuff--and I will too.

Great expression, great capture, Emanuele. Wish it were a little more in focus, but that's minor. Classic.

Nice capture, Renee. Maybe a tad more contrast is needed. Lovely kid.

Very nice shot--the center of interest is clear, and the background supports the story. I'm curious--what was the protest about?

Beautiful tones, and the depth of field conveys the exact emotion/mood you want to compliment those tones and the hair etc. Really fantastic.

Very beautiful color rendition--but I don't know if I'd have used a warming filter, since Velvia already tends to run warm and those colors are strong enough. Still, a captivating shot.

Beautiful composition, with a background that is subtle yet adds enough to make the figure striking. My one wish is that we were a bit closer to catch more of the excitement in his face.

The contrast between the child's expression and the woman's is what really grabs you here, in addition to the sombre background mood. Great job.

Absolutely moving. I wish there were a bit more light on your mom's face, and perhaps on your grandmother, both the overall scene is really gripping.

Fascinating capture--especially the way the man is lit and isolated and balances out the marquee above. Great stuff, Steve.

Nice image, Steve--brings back memories of my life in Bay Ridge and Manhattan--and yes, it is "une image a' la sauvette," in my opinion. The man's expression is what makes it, and the use of the cars to frame him is the perfect touch. Nice work.
