Thanks. Nope - its the perfect beauty of the Canon 24-70L - no Photoshop or filters needed.

I love this one Sara! The green of the tree is so ... hmm ... can't find the right word ... juicy.

It is slightly cropped already, but I wanted to retain the 3:2 ratio and not make it a square, and if I cropped more of the left I would need to lose some of the top (to keep 3:2), so I chose the lesser evil. I do agree with you though.

Thanks all.

Lorenzo: I did not want to crop it to underline the difference between the golden autumn leaves and the green trees in the background.

Horizon isn't even (images is tilted), focus is on the background, not the spider. If you corrected those two things it would be super!

I really like this photo. Nice clean reflection, I also like how the hills behind the trees in the background are a little hazy. It lacks a little contrast and color in my opinion however... and some sharpness too. I attached a quick "fix" of your pic.

Kelly Anbach: This is my first DSLR and I'm very pleased with it. My friend has a 10D with a 28-135 USM IS and even though my EF-S 18-55 is inferior, making equally good photos is possible if you really try hard. I miss some features such as mirror lockup and so forth, but for the money I payed I can't complain. Looking for new lenses now, planning on getting a 28-70 and 70-200 from Sigma, a macro, perhaps a wide-angle (15-30 perhaps?). I'm sure they will finally make me happy. Oh btw, I really wish I could afford a 1Ds with a full set of Canon L's.
