Thank you for commenting Ellen. I'm glad you find it beautiful. Mostly I try to make any frame I use from the colors in the picture, including this one. It just seemed the right color for this image.

Gosh this is beautiful. The framing is superior, I personaly think a frame shouldn't distract you from the subject and this one hasn't it's just perfect. This is a great composition and choice of colors. Putty gray...I might have to try that.
Well done, Ellen

Hi
Thank you again for visiting and commenting Monika. I'm encouraged that you like this one, I was trying to get a delicate image and for someone with your eye to call it a favourite is praise to me. Bill

This is my kind of macro shots with subtle focus, diffused background and minimalist composition.
Very good shot congrats.

IMHO the border weighs down... It's to heavy and dark for flowers and it is needless as the is so beautiful natural border made of the petals of the foreground flowers.

Very good composition. I would crop a little bit the righr shot in order to have better symmetry - the middle part (receptacle) of the flowers to be in the same distance from the middle line/border (had to crop the left photo too; for symmetry).
Please have a look.
Regards, Moni_K

Unusual angle, works well, with definition in the middle flower framed with other colours,
