I would suspect that it is an out of focus leaf or something of that nature.

after your reply I visited your portfolio and find this rich one; I like here the exposure setting result which lead to a dark background and full well saturated and dark colors for the body of this bird, well seen; something I am not able to recognize is detracting; it is the confused circle on the right at level of bird's "mouth"
