Davide,

What a tragic story. I'm sure that Ayman couldn't translate your text in Italian (I could not either, I needed your English version to understand). There is indeed something wrong.

Regards,
Laura

thank u , ayman
but this don't want to be a nice and well done shot...
it's only the worst epilogue of an appalling news story recently happened here in italy...
Tommy, 19Months old, kidnapped 1 month ago, and found tonight killed and buried...
there's something wrong in this world.
ciao
Davide

What a beautiful transition. From a very good one to exceptionally beautiful colors and composition. The resources available here at UF are really a credit to the process. A lot of amazingly talented people who are not selfish with their knowledge.

Beautiful colours and very interesting foreground Davide. Your PS clean up was done very well. Why not remove the horisontal boardwalk too! (just kidding - but it would be nice).

Yep, that's the one! Great shot, Davide! Also the tones have improved quite a bit, especially in the hills in the background, although personally, I felt the hue of the sky in the previous ones (and even in the first comment) look a bit more natural.

Cheers,

Hugo

i was been tempted so many times to post this shot, but everytime i look at it, i was discouraged from the tourists on the footbridge...
... today, i've tried to clean they out from the pic,and i've touched up the colors of the original because these are closer to the incredible colors of that unique place...
i think now look better!

Hi Davide,

See my previous comment. I think this is a bit too tight, creating the impression that this crop was applied to make it match the 2:1 panoramic aspect ratio for UF, rather than on aesthetical grounds...

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Davide,

I agree with you that this photo would benefit from a crop, but, comparing this one to the panoramic photo, I think the use of the photo also plays an important role.

This one shows a bit too much of the geothermical muds, yet the pano format one consises the view just a bit too much. I think the best way to crop it lies somewhere in between. But this only applies to a normal version.

I think the 2:1 ratio for the UF panoramic feature is a mean, not a purpose, and although the large size image would allow you to show more of the details (if you had enlarged it to say 1200 x 600 px), but the image is just too tight. I think the rule of thirds would be an ideal solution.

Either way, this is by all means a great shot, stunning tones, good lines and composition, and a very interesting subject....

Cheers,

Hugo

Ciao Davide, preferisco questa come composizione rispetto al taglio panoramico, ti fa entrare maggiormente nella scena.
Ne ho anch'io di foto della Grand Prismatic, magari appena ho un attimo le posto. un saluto!
