sergio, what a shame about the noise as this is an incredible sight. the backlit clouds hovering over the last vestiges of sun. the lower clouds lose color as the sun sets only to be brought back to life by the moon. wonderful shot.
i've been having issues with noise too and am still trying to find a solution. PS noise reduction is horrible at best. i've had quite a few suggestions to try Neat Image. unfortunately i can't use it, as i'm on a mac but it might help you for these long shots. i'd love to hear from you if you do try it out.

Tom, it's not underwater... but it was a few seconds after I took the shot... I know what you mean about the off center shot... I took a few of those first... but this one just looked "right" it's the only "centered" one I took.

sergio, very nice contrast in textures and colors. kind of surreal. is this underwater? my mind says no, but my eyes say maybe. i would've gone with a slight less centered composition tho. still a great shot!

Kelli, the noise is a result of the long exposure time... it's a 4megapixel camera, image is shot on the highest resolution.

The noise doesn't really bother me, this is a fantastic shot! Great effect with the long exposure. It's like a ray of hope overtaking the dark ominous cloud.

I am usually not interested in scenic photos, because something is generally lost in the translation (trying to do it better than nature itself) BUT, this photo is fabulous! You've really captured a perfect moment!- despite the noise even (how many megapixels is your camera?- is the noise a result of that?)! Well done!

Inicalmente pensei que era uma paisagem de deserto, onde o sol era coado pelas nuvens.
Mas ao ver mais de perto, percebi que é uma foto submarina...

sergio, nice!! talk about a decisive moment! those clouds are so crisp and clear. almost beyond daylight. i love the balance you achieved here with the (extremely) bright lightning bolt while mainting detail in the water and even the darker parts of the sky. you even managed to get the stars. excellent shot!
