Nice shot, the entwined petals and the darker upperleft corner give it an intimate quality! Regards Jörg

I agree shutter pressed 1 second earlier would have improved the composition, nevertheless the tension that one might sense because of the unbalanced position of the person is only underpinning the eerie quality of the photo with its white leaves the "still"/ "noisy" contrast of wall and ground, the arrow pointing in the reverse direction. For me this picture has a disturbing feeling to it. Like The day After Regards Jörg

Lots to say here. I like the technique, the full boat looks great. The details in the smaller pictures do not come well in my opinion. This contrasty way in sepia to take pictures seems to need the bigger format. But I like the idea of having detail pics and full frame composed together like a picture story! Regards Jörg

noise is the (electronic) graininess you see (or at least I see in the picture, especially in the background. It can be an element of a picture or composition but often it is just an artifact of digital cameras, when the Iso setting was very high (400+), shooting under poor light conditions. regards Jörg

well done, the blurriness is ok here, the noise not too noticeable. Very well composed and nice juxtaposition of the black with the soft pastel colours. I would prefer the cats face a little lighter shwing more detail, but nice shot. Regards Jörg

Hi Margaret, thanks for your concern, I am still around and well, just presently and for some time having very little resources for posting fotos here right now. First vacation, then (good news) preparing a showing of some of my wifes and my paintings in a local place, then preparing a showing of some of my flower shots (still to come) at the same location - a restaurant! - (good food, though!) and then for the last 4 weeks plus (very bad news,my wife had a serious accident and was severely injured) trying to help her, keep her spirits up - in the hospital first and now at home. Busy at this and nursing (since she still cannot do much herself) takes most of my time out of the job and my energy as well. So, do not expect me back soon. But I will return! Thanks again! Regards Jörg

Hi Kim Thanks for your friendly words. As for your flower, it is hard to identify it off hand from a picture but looks on first sight like a Geranium to me, a Genus of very many species, wild growing and also bred for horticulture. Look at my Geranium sanguineum I posted recently, sorry, it's pink again! I will check later in my Flowers of North America books, maybe I can tell you more then. Regards Jörg
