Oh wow look at those beautiful smiles!!!! How on earth did you get all 4 perfect smiles?? I have a hard enough time with 3! What joke did you tell? Whats your secret??? Please tell. If I was still at olan mills the only thing they'd say is dont cut off the feet and your "stair stepping" is perfect!

Eric~
I do love this one alot! Out of the pinks, this is the best. As far as lighting love it in the corner but I think her face needs just a touch more light not even much because i love the softness of the light on the pink but her skin being darker it gets a little lost in the shadows and needs a bit highlighted i think. just my thoughts!

Love this cute and fun! I think the fill light is a bit unequal between top and bottom though. I should try this with my kids, love it!

Beautiful pose, beautiful blue eyes. Nice angle. The only thing I notice here is her eyes, she has a smile on her face but not in her eyes. yes its a nice pose but you dont see that genuine happiness, which can be tricky. Just try to let them have fun and it can be there. She looks a little too mature for her age, by looking at those serious eyes! But she is a beautiful child.

Eric~
beautiful little girl first of all! I love the soft colors of her face and the angle. The vignette is nice maybe a little too dark on her face, more fill light? Not sure. Also not sure about the top of the vignette, I notice it too much, because its not in the photo?? Maybe even not be as close to her, just a bit backed off. I dont know if its too harsh or not, trying to decide. Overall I love it though, its angelic. but black on white does produce grey, so watch that cuz sometimes it makes them seems dirty or dusky. Cant wait to see more!

Hi Stephen!
Just wanted to say thanks for adding me to your friends list (I did the same) and no problem to ask my input and I as well value any input I recieve. Thank you for looking at my pages glad you liked what you saw.
As for this pic, it struck me because of the angle and the lighting, it is beautiful. The border is nice and simple as well. I was wondering if you took posted any photos from your sisters wedding? Guess I should look first.
Take care!

Dont care for the garage door in the background but as I've said before, I LOVE cowboys and pictures of them! I dont think there could be a bad one. Love the sentiment you included as well. It'd be cool to see that on the actual photo itself as a piece of art. One I'd own thats for sure!

I've heard about this place and it never ceases to amaze me. If you got to visit it, you really should share your story with us all. Beautiful elegant photo! Love the colors and the lines, like the trees in it as well. Even the border adds to it very much. Wonderful job!

Harsh moment captured well. Composed nicely and I like the fact you can see others walking away in the background, it really tells a story.

Nice composition, being in the direction you are gives this an interesting layered effect from the water to the wet sand to the dry and then seeing your shadow overtop. Very interesting!

Eric,
do you mind desribing your studio setup to me? especially the backdrop, do you just use paper, what to hold them up or muslin, etc. I work on location now but about to invest in an in house studio. I used to work for a portrait studio and know how they did things but looking for alternatives. Thank you!

Eric-
Thank you for your kind words. I do get several requests, and that was without flyers. People really look for a decent price and personal attention. I charge a rather low amount for weddings, I beleive the cheapest in my area. But I am also the only one who digitally enhances every single shot (usually over 200) people like this. I dont do this on a regualr basis, I have a few to several a year but not enough to make a living at it at this point. I dont want to get burned out and I also have a full time job and still go to school full time.
For you to get started I'd research your area to find out what others charge and offer. What can you offer that they cant? Maybe do a free wedding (or really cheap) the first time or two so you can have actual pictures to show others what you can do.
As far as $6000, must be nice! But thats just crazy. Good luck Eric!

For some reason I was looking for more of a scary overtone, spooky feel but when I opened it I didnt see that at all. This is very nice and love the fade to black but you could even add to that I believe.
