Jacinthe... you rescued this dog from a trip in Turkey?? And you took it back to Canada???? My hat's off to you!. You have my complete admiration and gratitude. I live in Istanbul, just outside the city and every day, on my way to town I had to witness the sad fate of many dogs lying dead along the road, victims of cars and trucks. I have rescued quite a number of dogs myself and found them families. It is an uphill struggle, a lost battle... but there is no better reward than their inconditional friendship. Here, a pic of the a little puppy I found lost on a parking lot under the rain this winter. The people that adopted her called her Yagmur (rain in turkish).

I wonder if Kratongs floating along a river of Singha beer would be acceptable.

Brad, Loy Kratong is better appreciated next a river, or a lake, where thais lit up their Kratongs and let them be carried by the current...
Alternatively Nana could be another VERY good alternative location you are totally right!.

Can, yesterday you commented on that picture of mine with the kid... similar subject to that one. I suggested on a picture like this you should leave at least a reference to what is calling the kid's attention. Otherwise what you see here is a faceless kid leaning against a wall, the possible richness of the street scene is lost, you see?

Nice.. they are all excellent portraits of guys at work. I am now convinced austrialian construction workers are better looking and definitely better fed than their turkish counterparts. Having said that, in the image you chose for the centre, our curly haired friend seems to be suffering from a severe case of scoliosis (which obviously is not the case), if you had snapped just half a second later it would have been a different story...

Thanks Can but disagree. True, the arm of the boy is in front of the lady and that is not good, but it would be worst to have a kid there, standing up looking at ... nothing?

You would have a lot of fun in my house at the moment. I have had an average of 10 guys daily for the last couple of months doing some serious decoration... Although I must say, my guys cannot compared to this Tom Cruise lookalike... they are all spotting moustaches, very much turkish style...
