I think you are doing a wonderful job on your still life pictures Kim. (or macro and still life as the case with this image).

Wondrful picture Ken. I was just thinking the same thing about telling who what where and when's today when taking pictures. I read somewhere that people who hire photographers are not really interested in how they did something..just that they did it and did a great job!
I thing tho that it helps others to learn about photography to post how something was taken..on a sight such as this..But by all means post as you see best suits what you like to do best..we can always figure out the rest later>>hehehe And I just enjoy seeing far-away pictures just for the enjoyment of looking Thanks for sharing this. I love it!

Wonderful composure. Beautiful colors. The background looks like mountains instead of fog. Very pretty picture indeed!

He sure is scary looking! Was the blur from the carving in the stone? Anyway he really is a scary looking character.

I love the idea of the string that you captured..the bird fixing the nest up for the family. Wonderful!

I'm not sure I see any reflections..unless you are speaking of a moment in time? Anyway, I do like the fog and composition. How did you get your picture to post so big?

That's for sure a rare moment. The guy looks like he has on a blue fuzzy slipper or a hospital shoe. He also looks like he has a cast on his foot. Are you sure he wasn't trying to run away from a hospital?

Thank you for your comments
There was very little PS added to this picture. Cropped a bit. The background acutually is a white satin material..Some reason alot of my pictures come back processed with a bluish tint. Could be the processing technique being used? I usually like the effect tho.

Hi Suha..Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to comment on my pictures from time time.
I've gone through your portfolio once again and after seeing your beautiful images..I'm quite blushing..at the quality of mine and that you would take the time to even comment on them> Yours are just so professional..I feel like a first grade child
I feel quite honored that someone with the abilities that you have would take the time to look at mine. Really! It makes me feel really good.
I'll probably never get to meet you in person..but what a pleasure it would be..if by chance...As it is there probably won't be much of an oppurtunity..I don't travel much..but at least I get to see your wonderful pictures of far away lands and those awesome animals!
Keep posting..I love looking at your work.

Hi Frank, Paul and I are quite impressed with your work. Paul especially loves it. He has a couple of moon shots in his portfolio. The closest we've came to adding with PS is the lens flare in his moon shot.

You do really beautiful impressive work!

Hi Terrence..Thanks for taking the time to comment on this picture. (Secret: It won me first prize in a contest
Anyway, I've totally got in my mind about using the flash as you explained to me the next time I do some outdoor portraits.
Used the flash yesterday on a hummingbird..will see how it turns out in a few weeks or so.
Thanks again for all your help.

I'm glad Suha liked this. That's ok Petros that you don't. I'm mixed about it. I thinks it looks totally fake...but I did like the composition and the fence line and the lone tree and the house in the background.
I'm finding lanscapes to be more difficult than I thought they would be Still working on it.
Posting example of the color, yet, PS, sample of this same picture.

Oh and Marty that is the natural sky in the background. The one with the MAX DOF is showing all the puffy clouds in detail but the little guy is all blurry. Just really goes to show the difference between MAX DOF and MIN DOF..which is something I haver learned since joining Usefilm.

OMGosh..This is so so so beautiful! And with Kodak 400..WOW! You keep proving over and over that film print works wonderfully! I love this picture. If I were the editor it would definetly be my EC choice

WOW. Loving to see the colors you are getting with the Portra 160 as I ordered some of this film myself.

I'm scared half to death of anything that stings..Great and courageous picture Danny!

I like the different colors and the sky looks like a what I call "velvia" sky. I would like to see more of the building? The mail box is pretty cool but wouldn't know how you would go about getting it and the whole building in the picture. This looks like a hotel...Bates Hotel?

Hi Danny- I shot the velvia 50 @ 50. The only lab we have in town does not compensate for either or...I'm not sure that would matter if the whole roll is exposed at 40?

I was just browsing the recent posted pictures and Marty how ironic that my little guy is posted right next to your beautiful lady! I'm cracking up thinking about the composition of these two pictures showing up like they did. LOL! As if he loves what he sees! Which is understandable..such a beautiful lady!

I think you're right..I don't believe I've seen a picture like this yet as far as flowers go. Love the colors!

The only problem I'm having is that my eyes keep wandering to the peach rose in the upper left corner. That is a bit distracting but the yellow flowers that look like a "lane" in the background really works for me.

Wow! I just got up to answer my phone and was walking back to the computer with this image up and the tiles were moving and changing in tones and sizes. Try it..it's a way cool opitical illusion!

Great job!

I haven't found the first one yet..but I do like the expression on her face. The catch light in her eyes. The shadows on the tree from her hair is cool. The texture of the strands of her hair is great. Pose is wonderful.

My only complaint would be the harsher light on the left side of her blouse in comparison to the right side.
