A contrast mask in photoshop might have bought out the background just a bit and helped with the blowout on the dress. Just a thought. A lot of our wedding photos had a similar problem - we managed to correct a lot of them.

hello taken in low light, as it was about to rain on a dull sunday afternoon.

agree about the head, but as it was a grab sports photo and the marist players were running around like headless chocks anyway.

so i think i'm allowed a little lee way.

hope to see the stud Ian posing in more hoilday photos soon. did you get any more of your nice natural light photos?

cheers peter

hello there,

yes, poor old film cannot hold the contrast range.

the couple were happy with it,i zapped it into black and white for a enlargement and all the tones and contrast came into line.

Just going through your portfolio Peter and came across this little gem. What a cutie. I have 2 chow mix fur kids of my own and they certainly are characters. They aren't full chow like this little guy but they have the signature purple/black tongues and curled up tails and same size like the chow. Rescue pup siblings. Gotta love them to bits. A precious photo this one for sure.

Thank you for your comment on my Still Blue image. I try to follow the 2/3rds rule.....when it suits the situation (or me). I did actually crop some of my images to make them more that way and that's why some of them are square shaped. Always learning and practicing when I can.

Cheers - Ann

thanks for the comment, i have found that doing photos for the newspapers. they want names and contact numbers for all people in the photos.

soo find out where they asemble the parade and arrive about an hour before they begin.

womble around setting up photos, getting people to do odd things ie pirates and santa.they are a lot more relaxed.

if it doesn't work you can always chase them around at the parade.

cheers peter
