Great idea Mike! I like the transformation but the "happy" face is the best one I think.

Nice, Mike! I really love the whole concept!
I have to confess, though, that I think if you'd started out looking grumpy-faced and gradually lightened your expression until you were ecstatic about being in comfy clothes, that would have a greater flow.
Sorry if that seems nitpicky. Just a thought. I can't find anything "real" to fault this for. :-)

Very nice, Mike. This does work great as a square image. I love the colors and feeling of depth the image has. Good exposure of the underside of the trees too. I love how the branches wind through each other in the image. Did you notice the bit of lens flare when you took the picture? I think it could do without.

As you say, it has been done a thousand times before, but ..... with borrowed equipment you've done a great job, and I just adore these images! Guess a tripod might have been needed for this shot! Such a shame you missed the eclipse. Cloudy here too. gather there's another one in November.

Mike, this is such a great image. Whether or not you intended it, this has the feel of those extraordinary signage photos done by Walker Evans in the 1930s and 1940s (although his were B/W). The has so many nice elements with excellent textures and colors and the added "pop" of the man in the doorway. Really outstanding work. This is a real jewel.

I like the picture. Strong mood and you capture the decay well. It seems a little over exposed in some parts, but that could be my monitor. The grain is effective.
