Wounderful colour - really striking. Focal point a little confusing. Would try to isolate (crop) the flower head away from the districting bud (lower left).

Not great with photoshop (elements) myself. Tend to have a light touch with this sort of thing. Try and take the picture right in the first place and make minor changes when necessary...

This is another lovely image. Really love the perspective - brilliant glossy reflection. Slightly cheeky. Would have been nice to get a bit more light on the faces. The challenges of natural light!

This is a beautiful shot. Love the dramatic skys contrasting with the more peaceful river scene. Not sure if it's underexposed or just my screen?

Thanks very much for all your kind comments. Haven't posted pictures for quite some time and becoming inspired again. Yes, very lucky to travel all over the world.

This is a great image too. Would really like to see these in colour - can imagine the dress would be really colourful. Lots of interesting pictures in your portfolio. Lots of great material in Java?

Great light and colours. Reflection is brilliant and the moody sky works well too.

Colour drew my eye to this one. Really like the textures created by the noise (?) Could have been cleaner without the smaller branches surrounding the main branch. Still very effective.

Thanks John. I think this one has a bit more drama. Very sweet little kids. Was really nice to interact with the locals on a non-financial basis. Just sharing the common language of photography :)

This images is fabulous! Contrast between little bright fresh faces, colourful cloths and earth tone are brilliant. Also love the drama of the image - captures a feeling and introduces some mystery as to what they are crowding to see. Only suggestion is to reduce the processing filter - think this image would work much better without it. Do you have the original? The unprocessed image?

Lovely picture. Love the skin textures, nice tight crop with a small taste of background to add some context. Best of all is the expression - great timing!

This is another great image. Again, like the tight composition around his face, light this time much more forgiving. Shame about the lock covering his eye - a small distraction. You have such great subject matter in India.

You're right. Contrast - always tricky in natural light. Delhi in December was perfect as all the mist perfectly difused the light creating very even tones. Feel free to have a look at my images.

Cheers

This is a great image. Love the use of fore and backgrounds between the two generations. Processing a little exagerated for my tastes - would have liked to see it closer to the natural tones. Wonder how it would look more tightly cropped around the two faces...

Quite a bit going on here. A little underexposed and blurry as a result. Bloke to the right is a bit of a distraction from the main subject - perhaps he adds context?

Great image - just the sort of thing I like. Only criticism is that the image is a little underexposed - the challenges of shooting the moment in natural light! Other than that, great image. Particularly like the tight crop. Subject and expression fab.

Nice shot - love the drama of it. Also great to have such a range of faces. Focus is lost in the foreground but not sure that this is such a bad thing as it seems to add a bit of movement to the picture. Great expressions.

Thanks for this Paul - very helpful. I tend to like tightly cropped images but it is useful to know that this doesn't always work for others. There is another image in the same set which is a bit wider. Funny, now that I look at it I would crop out the other head because it's a bit distracting. Thanks for you comments.

This one caught my eye. Lovely expression, relaxed pose and well balanced composition. My only suggestion would be to somehow neutralise the impact of the material she sits on - slightly distracting. Other than that. Really nice image.

Interesting image. Like the light and moodiness. Composition could have been a little stronger - centred subject matter removes some of the drama of the scene.

This is a superb shot. Love the perspective and expressions. Composition with window frame closing to the centre produces a really nice frame. Shadow on woman's face superb and quirky to have older person's hand directing the children's gaze. Love the intergenerational aspect. This one is an award winner!

This image caught my eye - says more about the thumb nail format than anything else. Love the composition and use of strong contrast to bring out the textures and forms. Would have tried a slightly different perspective to put the child further right and the outrigger further left. Lovely shot.
