blowing it out on the one side was intentional... my model only got a few hours of sleep the night before, and she had crazy cicles under her eyes... since i wasnt paying her, i went ahead with the shoot anyways. i overexposed slightly to see if i could get rid of the circles without losing the entire portrait... I still shoot film, and people pictures are new to me. im just experimenting ;) thanks for your comment.

Can't understand why this hasn't had any comments, maybe nobody noticed that eye contact! I like intense portraits so this one's fine by me, though perhaps a bit blown out on her left cheek. Good to see people still using a Jupiter 9, it's an excellent portrait lens, I have one, though must admit I haven't used it for ages. Regards, Gary

I thought about cropping it, but I'm not sure how to crop is so it still looks good. Can you offer a suggestion or two? Thank you for your comment!

Good idea, like the sharpness being at the far end. Maybe crop the top a little for a cleaner image? Regards, Gary

410mm through trees. I used a 205mm pentax (i think) lens and a 2x teleconverter. The moon was low on the horizon, and some branches were obscuring it. I could not stop down because the moon was moving so fast, so the DOF is quite shallow, that's why everything is out of focus. But, this is full frame, no cropping. Cheers!

I'm trying to determine if this photo is a water reflection, taken on a foggy day, or just some cool halo camera effect. Either way, it's awesome. Prosit Neujahr!

Very pretty, Ben. I like how the sparkling shoreline embraces the water. The lines of your composition include the viewer as part of the scenery. MAry

This is really quite interesting. You have captured the Earthshine so we can see the full outline of the Moon. Yet, it is all covered with branches and wire or something. It is intriguing and just in time for Hallowe'en. MAry
