Ahoy, Mark! How's life? Mine's been taken over by school and the like. Went on a trip down to the Southern end of my state and took a ton of shots last week. It was a much needed break.

I think I've got like a ton of photos I've got to upload on here. I've got another site thing like this on deviant art, now (http://Capt-Morgan.deviantart.com). I've got one HDR shot that's pretty amazing (at least I think so), it's of a cactus during sunset, called "New Mexican Sunset". I'll be uploading it on here soon. :)

ROCK ON!!!!! WHEEEEEOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Absolutely love the colors in this shot. Those diagonal lines add such a great feel of movement. Excellent, almost surreal photo. 7/7

I love these ground level shots.

Don't see too many piers around here. LOL Every once in a while, though you'll stumble upon one out in the desert, though. Boats there just don't seem to travel as fast. A scientist tried to explain it to me, something about sand and how water was better. I'm not a scientist, so I don't really understand.

AHOY, THERE MARK! I was just about to check out your photos - good to see you're back on here. I've kinda moved over to Deviant Art. (http://Capt-Morgan.deviantart.com) There's no daily posting limits, you can sell prints, the website looks a bit classier, and it's the home to a ton of pros. I'd suggest you totally put some stuff on there. (It's free, too, unless you want to pay for a membership, much like here, but it's a got a lot of really cool features. There's also some REALLY good concert photographers on there, too, which you'd probably like - I mean like insanely good, like uber-pro.

I doing great! UBER METAL FOREVER!!!! I've been getting in the more advanced PS editing recently and have been getting better and better results. I've got a couple of weddings to photo this summer, and will be traveling to a number of places this spring and summer for photos. I also hope to finally buy a second lens for the good ol' '350D (probably the Canon 17-85mm w/IS ).

How're things with you?

"Celestial Jail"... That's rather brilliant. I like that - I may have to do something with star and this shot, now. :) Thanks for you comment!

The results are fantastic. I didn't even know about the new D80 until I saw it on this shot like twenty minutes ago. I'll have to check it out. I started out on a D100 (from work), so I have a healthy appreciation for Nikons.

I may have to check out that filter...

Love the feel of you photos, Tim. Are you using HDR or what? I'd love to know how you achieve your style. Great composition and tones, as always.

Frikkin' love the uber-shallow depth of field! Looks like you're getting your moneys-worth out of the 50mm macro! Love the composition, the colors (maybe a bit more saturation, mostly n the greens, but that's my style) - everything. Excellent work.

Wow, excellent composition and tones on this shot, Musaad! The background is perfect - very nice subtle blurring. Great work.

How do you like the Canon 300mm f/2.8 IS USM? I've been thinking I might have to get one... :)

Yep, still sorta breathin'. Haven't really gotten any new toys for my EOS... I seem to be copping fairly well with my 18-55mm, as I haven't really done too much with any wides.

Super impressed by this series, Todd. Excellent work.

Love this shot, man. Seems so much like a dream. Reminds me of a photo I just posted. :) I need to post the B&W version of my shot.

Can't fault anything in this shot, only thing I can think of to make it even better would be to add a frame in PS to it. That would make it look even better.

Excellent work, Michael! 7/7 Fo' Sho!

Thanks!

Thanks, Michael I would love to hear any pointers you've got (when you have them ;). The link didn't work, hopefully just a typo, as I would love to see a bunch of excellent portraits.

Thanks, Mark! I really like this shot. I think I'm finally beginning to understand B&Ws and contrast in images. I think it's your fault, to. I saw your photos and Keith's and had to figure it out. ...jerk... ;)

I recently put my stuff on Deviant Art, BTW.

http://Capt-Morgan.deviantart.com

It's a pretty neat site. I'd love to see your work on there.

How's life? You been busy with your band and whatnot?
