well, you should always make the focused subject be more dynamic, so that it will catch attention.To make this , you should have blurred the background so that his expressions would pop out from the photo.:)

Great pic! There is something nearly painful or medical/clinical in contrast with beautiful form and color of the cherry. If you had named it for example "amor" or "red injection" - but no need to diminish the open flow of thoughts.
