hi there
an interesting "i don't care pose"
where you happy too, i did a little cropping and work on levels in the attachment.
next time try using a high ISO say 400-800 and if the camera has a aperture setting. try the f2.8 setting.
this way you should not have to use flash, and can take photos of concerts, bands etc.
without the flash follow up,ie i using a camera ,come and throw me out.
cheers peter

Love the natural expression in this capture . . . clearly not posed with the old "Say Cheese" and hold the smile philosophy!
For the composition . . . try to keep the subject either above or below the centerline . . . and left or right depending on which way they're looking . . . as (IMO) that makes the shots more dynamic. With a delightful shot like this . . . you should have no problems getting more oppotunities to capture that smile! :)

Not too bad at all! A good idea to have the natural framing on the top (foliage) which helps to contain the capture. The image feels a tad bit flat . . . post processing should look at the midtone contrasts to make it 'pop' a bit more . . . but overall and considering the equipment you're using . . . this isn't too bad at all . . . I like the DOF too!
One other thing to consider is watch the BG carefully . . . you have a significant distraction in that BG house which needn't have been there . . . but be sure to keep several feet clear behind the subject of your shot (like you did here) so that you can get that pleasing BG blur. Nicely done.

Nice level horizon and a 1/3 - 2/3 horizontal composition too. The tree accent on the left makes a good anchor for the image and the twinkle of a star (?) in the upper right complements the shot. Overall it's a scenic, peaceful image. Nice.

WOW i love this. a totaly authentic and vintage kind of feeling to it. The girl in the center makes the shot i think, but the other two are important to the composition as well. Love the green frield in the background as well. Tim

very cute shot.
a word of general advice-keep your subject out of the center of the frame. shots where you've got the subject in the middle tend to be boring shots.
also, zoom in as close as you can and you may find your shots to be more satisfying. look at everything in the frame and eliminate anything that is not essential to get your point across.
and most of all, HAVE FUN! that's what its all about. you've found a great site to learn and grow as a photographer. enjoy!
