Who would have thought a dandelion would make such a great picture. The bee adds a wonderful component to a strong image - lighting, compostion and colours all working to perfection in this shot. Excellent!

Beautiful luminescent clouds with an interesting foreground in shadow. Lovely image!

The colour of the sky even cooperated so that you could get that IKEA blue and yellow! Strong composition with the heavy diagonal lines. I enjoy the human interest in the shot, and the fact that it is a lighter shade of blue in the person's clothes.

Nice composition and lighting - bringing out the texture of the metal and ground. The repeated patterns of the horseshoes makes for an interesting image - wherever one looks things are the same yet different. Well done.

Another great sky image Ace! Lovely colours and composition - from the cool blues at the top of the image to the intense golden hues at the bottom. A wonderful, captivating picture.

Simple, effective and powerful image. Has a primal feel for me, mystery at the dawn of time. Great work.

Nice PS work - the classic cars jumps right out of the picture. I like the energy in the image as well.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your comment. I have been away from UseFilm for quite a while - busy summer and all that. I'm back now, with a few new pictures that I will be posting from time to time.

A lovely landscape except for one thing - the horizon line tilted a bit. I like this shot so much I wanted to fix it up a bit - so I straightened the horizon, cut out the foreground where the missing part of the dock seemed distracting to me, and I darkened the image just a little. I've attached my tweaked version for you to compare yours with - I hope you don't mind. A lovely picture of a beautiful place.

Amazing colours for no post processing. It may be giving a visual representation of the mathematical Hilbert space but I just like its sense of energy and playfullness.

I've been in this church building before and you have done an excellent job of capturing the simple beauty of the space. The human element adds to the sense of size and perspective. You also have found the right amount of light - enough to illuminate the space, but muted enough to allow the light fixture to glow in a warm manner. Nicely done, makes me want to visit this sacred space again.

Hi Salvatore,

Even with friends this looks like a lonely place! Nice picture of this unique tree. Beautiful, yet subtle colours captured in scene - especially like the deep blue sky. If you get a moment check out my photo of a similar subject.

Thanks for the comments Jon. Actually it is a late afternoon shot, taken pretty close to the spot that I took the Winter Creek" photo.

Hi Michael,

I still think the towers look like they're on a first awkward date or something... yet the palm tree is an important element in the photo so I could see why you included it in the title!

Makes it look like the romantic place that it is. A classic shot that belongs on a tourism brochure. Nicely done.

Draws the eye to the endless horizon - a glimpse of eternity perhaps? Strong image with excellent composition and execution.

Great picture - the composition works well to tell the story... our eye follows the hose into the picture from the firefighter closest to us in to the middle of the frame and the firefighter closest to the flames. Then our eye follows the flames as they ascend and move us back to the edge of the picture. The whole image suggests energy, intensity and focus. Excellent work!

Interesting composition - to not show the head of the cyclist. Puts the emphasis on the bike and the motion of the rider. A unique perspective that I think works well in this photo. Nicely done!

That's some pretty red bricks! Composition works to highlight the chimney - leads the eye up the picture. All that's missing (as far as I'm concerned) is a deep blue sky to cap off that red stripe of colour. I also like the detail in the peeling paint on the wood. Nice find, well seen, good picture.

This is a simple, but strong photo. The high contrast works well to isolate the main idea - birds on a wire and one spot left to fill. Nicely seen and well captured.

An amusing title for this picture - I could almost image these two buildings as characters leaning ever so slighty towards each other. Nice composition, lighting and colour.

A colourful photo with an interesting explanation. The fire looks like it is possibly manipulated - I know you do great work with PS, so is this another example of that? My only wish is that I could look at this picture even larger to see clearly all the interesting details. Very eye-catching!

I love shots like this too Davide. An interesting story to go along with it as well! Even the slight blurriness of the image seems to suit the overall effect of this photo. For me, this is a picture of what hope looks like. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Yes, large is the way to view this photo! Wonderful and interesting details, both in the children and in their surroundings. Well lit and great colour. Thanks for the explanation as well - it helps me appreciate the image even more. Well done!

Lovely picture Steve! The colours are gorgeous and the composition is striking. I especially like the circular ripples in the water radiating out from the lower right side of the picture. Did you throw a rock into the water to create those ripples? However you accomplished this, you are to be congratulated on a wonderful photo.
