Thanks Gabry,

This was taken at the salmon festival in Japan. I was surprised to see that he caught a salmon with his hands, considering thay are very strong and my son is only 3 years.

Thanks again for you comment

"Dragonflies usually fly off when you approach them. Just wait quietly near the spot and position your camera. They'll usually return to the same place and rest. You have to be quick and snap as soon as they land, while their wings are still in an upright position. Very often, their wings will tilt down after a while, and they don't look good with that."
if you are intrested in insect photography, this a great website to visit http://azone.clubsnap.org/insectguide/page03.html

I was excited too. I printed out the page showing us up there, and of course told family and friends. I'm not sure why I get an award because you made a great critique, but I accept..lol. Ironically, my ratings went down on the picture while it was up on the front page. So glad you like it! I'll be watching you to see your first award. Cheers. T.

You caught two dragon flies at the same time? That is amazing. I have never been able to get them to stay still or let me near them.

Yes, I know...I saw that...I was so excited I sent the website to my whole family. I'm stationed in Japan right now so I dont really get to talk to alot of people but when I got this I made sure eveyone saw. My family really liked your picture they thought it was very symbolic and so did I. It just kind of reminds me of Wendsday...You know from the Adam's Family but in a good way and with a white dress. Well keep on taking those great shots and hopfully we'll see you up on the big screen again.

Excellent composition and colors, Maggie. The photo has a definite tilt, but that's the only nitpick to a wonderful photo.

Wow! Where did you manage to photograph this tiger? In a zoo? The tiger looks very imposing.
The white areas seem a little overexposed. Otherwise a great capture!

Well done, Maggie!

Jenni

David and Goliath look about them. The size of the big one is realy amazing. Makes me wonder - does this 'thing' realy fly !. The small jet is just cool and graceful.

Very nice capture. well done.

ken.
