I really like this shot. I struggle with the same lens issues as you. Who's got 4K to spend on a lens? However I wonder if shutter speed was working against you here too. just a little bit of camera shake perhaps. Was this hand held or on a tripod? I shoot with a 75-300mm Canon with a cheap 2X Teleconverter. If I get good light and can shoot at 1/750th or faster the results will be good. Dosen't happen as much as I would like. The composition in the shot is spectacular!

Ok, I just can't but give 7/7 on this one. You did a superb job using a really crappy tool (I had that lens, I know). Now do yourself a favor, buy a 300mm f/4 or even f/2.8 AFS. You deserve it (you photo speaks for it!). Once again, lovely work!

Sanjib, It was shot at the Jurong Birds Park in Singapore very close to the Waterfall (man-made). This bird in the artificial shelter provided by the authorities there.
