Outdoors with a 2.8 and still not enough light. Sports is real hard to shoot. You composed it well and got lots of action. The B&W is a smart move.

Great image, Bruce.
My only suggestion would be about the crop. I think it would be somewhat more powerful if the jet were not centered in the frame.
Currently, it appears the jet is flying out of the picture.

Best regards,
Bob

Hi Bruce, this is STUNNING. It's technically superb, with every detail crystal clear, but taking the image beyond mere grammatical correctness are the heads peering down, and the glow of the lights on the ceiling. Absolutely fabulous image. And yet another reason to be thankful for usefilm.

Cheers Jason. The colour version of this and the other 2 I've posted today will go to the local rag.... and I think you're right... they'll probably go for this one.

I know what you mean Bruce. When i was covering the professional soccer people would ask was it a good game but I only saw it through a round piece of glass, however it was always a good game if I got some decent shots.

Cheers Danny.

I know what you mean about the grain. You would have been shooting for the press? I only send to my local rag and would never send one like this. Works for me on a fun level though.

As for the tackle.... it's got to be close... ref didn't call it though. A lot of the time I don't see the action as clearly as a spectator at the time. I see the impact coming and make sure I get it but don't actually see it, if that makes sense! Too busy making sure I don't stuff it up! It's only once I get home and everything onto the computer I really know. I didn't see his arm that high at the time, but I knew it would be a solid impact and give me something.

Bruce

I spent years trying to get rid of grain- now you are adding it.Good action. Is that considered a High tackle.
