The contrast setting is call Tone Comp in Image Quality -> Custom Menu. Starting page 56 of in the menu.

Kerry, thanks for the tip. I didn't realize you could adjust the contrast setting & the sharpness! I will definately try it! I have it on the sharper option, but will have to check into how to set the contrast. Thanks!

I do got good sharpness image right off my D70 from high sharpening setting. You migh want to pump up contrast and that helps too, Believe it, higher contrast make you photo look more sharp. I use medium high contrast setting.

Kerry, this image is great. Have you had images with sharpness with your D70? I have. Do you use any sharpening software post cam, or are you getting this sharp of an image right out of the cam?
