Fascinating. Odd,how such a clash of colour actually works to advantage! A good photograph.

A strong graphic image Don. Maybe a thin black bounding frame to hold the top part of the composition together? Regards John

I like the negative space around this, but I find that the tulip is maybe centred a bit too much... a slight crop from the top (maybe enough to lose those clouds) would really bring the power to the flower.
I think being temp. blind was worth it though... this is a truly amazing shot... the fact that there is so much detail in the petals and how the stem has rim lighting... it all comes together to make this a great shot.
Nice use of complimentary colours as well.. the red and blue work well together.

I love the lighting on these lillies... they seem to have their own powerful glow. I find the one on the bottom overlapping the frame a bit too awkward though. It keeps drawing my eye to the edge of the frame and instead of making it feel like a whole picture I end up focusing on the bottom.
Just my opinion though!
Excellent DOF to keep enough shape in the background to echo the main flower... a very lovely flower shot.

What a unique graphic shot... very creative idea!
The starkness and excellent detail of the shadow really adds emphasis to the sharp points of the wire. At this small size there looks like there might be some jpeg artifacting along the thin barbed wire... it looks fairly choppy. But I'm sure at a higher res in which you have this stored at there are no problems whatsoever.
Congrats on a very well executed idea!
