Very creative, to use the "clear" window to act as the device to tell your story ... as the storm intensifies, this unseen middle-ground changes and effects the way in the subject (the tree) is ultimately seen.
Congratulations.

Glad to see Minneapolis hasn't suffered a warm spell :-) I see you've got some very seasonal accumulations.
The touch of yellow makes the who;e thing work for me.
Best regards,

Wonderful abstract ...intense colors, and cool patterns.
The leaves look like confetti raining down on the head of the pedestrian!

Anandaroop,
Your commentary "about the image" is interesting ... these men certainly are a unique breed, with unique capabilities.
With resepct to the image, you have intensified the contrast, which washes out the background, and thereby increases the visual strength of your subject's face.
However, I struggle with the resulting effect of the white crown on the subject's head.
I wonder if you had considered cropping the image, as in the attachment, below. It eliminates the white area on his head, and with the tighter shot, the eyes of your subject seem to stare at the viewer and draw one in, to study the photo closely.
Best regards,
Mark

Wonderful, moody image. I like the way you chose to crop the picture ... and, that you retained the hill top in the forground, so that the village is still visible.
Nicely done. Best regards,
Mark

Todd,
I'm just coming back for another look. It made a strong impression the first time, and wanted to visit with it again. Hope all is well.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday Mohamed!
Also, as they say "Age is only a state of mind".
I suspect, according to that concept, you are still very young!

Nice retro image, with the 50's diner and B&W.
Also, I like the various "lines" in the image.

Nicely composed, using the oat grass on the right and the trees on the left to draw the eye in to the creek.
Is this in Maryland? Looks a lot like places along the Eastern shore, although I guess it could be any number of places.

Excellent composition, the up and down stairs create a wonderful, natural visual separation between the right and left halves of the image.
This effect is further emphasized by the lighting.
I also like the duo-tone of the yellow and black.
Congratulations!

Linda,
I'm sitting here, unsuccessfully trying to express what in particular it is in your image that has drawn me to it ... and failing that, I just have to say, "Nice work. I like it."

I've never seen "stained glass" used in such a modernistic piece of architecture / art ... and you did a beautiful job capturing it.
A very neat aspect of the image is the portion of the floor that is not bathed in the bright colored light, but which is in the background / far corner of the building, and is devoid of color yet the pattern of the floor stands out so vividly.
Excellent.

Gayle,
There is a lot to this seemingly "simple" image. Of all the interesting elements - and there are a number - the strong diagonal line created by the walkway takes this image to another level in my opinion. Super!

Ina,
They are quite a pair, aren't they? Too good to pass without grabing an image!
Their "father (owner)" took a few of us on a walking tour of the old Rhyolite ghost town. Charlie was a knowlegeable, and funny guy. We offered him some cold sodas, and when he only took one, we told him we had plenty to spare, and to take more. He said, "No thanks, the boys don't drink soda." As the hour or so passed, he made similar references to "The Boys", in a very loving way. It was easy to tell, that they were his family, in a very real sense.
thanks for looking at my images, for your comments, and for sharing your picture of the boys.
Best regards,
Mark
