Fantastic. Love the three distinct color bands across the image, with each being beautiful in their own right.
7!

Great overhead angle. Love the tiled sidewalk, it adds increased visual interest to the scene.
Nice range of tones ... and interesting that the saxaphonist provides the brighest white and the deepest black in your image.

Who added that *%#$ door anyway? It screwed up the spray painted message - now someone may "ark" where they aren't supposed to.
Love the various color tones to the bricks.

Todd,
I agree with your assessment on the right hand door. I wanted to make the viewer work to see the far door, but I think I went overboard, as it is falling out of the frame! Thanks for your comment.
Take care,
Mark

The house is now gone / deserted by its tenants, and the current resident is the flourishing green ivy!
Well seen.

Very nice duo-tone.
It looks like a very lonely place, except for the few sheep to keep one company.
Congrats!

Kevin, another one of your wonderful moody images! The street is damp from dew or mist, and it feels like one needs to tred carefully, so as not to slip while walking.
I don't know for certain, but it appears you may have accentuated the lighting coming from the upper window at the end of the street. For my money, the amount of light it shines onto the street seems disproportionate for the lighting source and distance to the street. I also think if it were toned down, and the street lamp were the primary light source in the image, it would heighten the sense of a late, damp night.
Please accept my comments in the spirit they are intended, recognizing that I think the image as presented is a wonderful piece of work.
Best regards,
Mark

Todd,
Wonderful image! It's only missing one thing ... a BIP award! (perhaps it got lost in the mail ...)
Great capture of nature at work in an urban setting.
Into my favorites and scored a 7! Congratulations.

I like the way the image shows the curvy part of the fence.
Marian, have you noticed how the large left hand most square on the old building looks like a piece of cheese?
Nice. Best regards,
Mark

Gabriele,
When I saw the thumbnail of your image, I thought to myself, "That looks a lot like an image I shot this past summer while in Milan."
Well, it appears that it is indeed the same location.
It is a great photo, because of the odd juxtaposition of a marble staircase leading to a McDonalds!
Congratulations.

Todd,
A rather belated "Thank You".
I relocated during the summer, had been without computer for a while, and somehow missed this image.
So typically you, which makes it that much more special, from my perspective.
Best regards,
Mark

Todd,
Just perusing your portfolio. Not sure how I missed this one. There is so much to like about it. So instead of boring you with the complete list .. I'll just mention the way the steel (aluminum?)around the red fabric jumps out of the imare, and how great the linoleum looks.
Also, one question - When I stare at the wall, it appears that there is a very faint circular pattern of yellows and greens radiating from a center point. Is that the result of a flash, or something else? Or, just me going a little more wacko?

Very funny! I saw the title, and when looking at the thumbnail, I couldn't make the connection ... but with the larger image ... poof, there you are - all compressed together as if you are being prepared for placement into a tin can.
Best regrads,
Mark

The lines created by the shingles that are running at the viewer, along the right edge of the image is so powerful, and its what drew me to look at your photo.
Nicely composed, and a happy accident with the old gentleman walking across your set up.
Terrific!

Absolutely top notch.
Wonderful color in his face, a little mustard (?) in the beard, and silver beard.
Great portrait, and thanks for sharing the story that accompanied it.
Congratulations.

The focus and clarity of the piano image is spot on! It also has very nice colr tones - a perfect match for the face of your subject on the left side.

Todd,
Per my comment earlier today, it must have been the monitor at the office ...
on the home computer screen, the density and richness of the blue is great.
