Congratulations on the award, Laurie! This is the quintessential alternate perspective in my mind...you achieved a wonderful minimalist effect from such a mundane item.

You've done some great things with water, and I think this is verging on my favorite. There is so much movement yet the drop itself seems so still. Really great job!

Great job...almost looks infrared. The composition is beautiful as well as the exposure.

Great concept! The DoF and the colors are most notable. Once again, great job with the tricky exposure.

I love the composition in this photo! You did a great job with the tricky exposure...the eyes are stunning. I should say that I very much enjoy your framing on all photos in your portfolio. Great job.

This is the classic Kodacolor image. You chose a great subject as well as good timing. Very effective image.

Beautiful lines. The composition is very effective in conveying all of the lines, and the green tones are excellent.

Wow! This is wonderfully dramatic, like most of your portfolio. The sky is almost unreal in contrast to the beautiful greens of the grasses.

I was drawn to the sky on this in contrast to the rougher textures of the brick. Great job.

The contrast came to a cool end! I might suggest a black border around this so that the viewer doesn't lose the sky. I love the textures on the pipes.

...maybe because it's quite overwhelming to the senses! I like the effect on the lights, and their respective tones. There are many levels as well.

Great work of still life! There is so much character not only in your b&w tones but also in the expressions you captured on the subjects' faces. Most excellent job.

I think that while the lighting and the overexposure are a little out of the ordinary, it also works strangely enough. A quite competent self-photo!

Great b&w. I love the tone on all the metal; so shiny and smooth. Cool photo!

Good catch on the lighting. IMHO, I find the blue object to be a little distracting because I don't know what it is and it seems out of place with the serene white tones. Nice job overall.

A very competent photo...I love the composition, it is quite intriguing; and the white splotches add some depth to the photo while making it even more abstract. Great job.

Absolutely beautiful. It is so peaceful and your cropping is very effective in bringing the spacious feeling to such a small photograph. Great job.

You stole my follow-up line. What a world it is indeed, and on so many levels. This is a beautiful photo...I love it because it is somewhat abstract because you are in so close, but the atmosphere that it gives off with its perfect water droplets is very serene so that the viewer need not know exactly what the subject is. Great job.

Bret, this is a very professionally done photo. The colors and the depth to all the kernals are very beautiful. There's also an overwhelming sense of vastness because of the complexity of the subject. Stellar job.

Unexpected abstract! I'm very impressed by the overall purity of this picture, especially the balance between the two differing textures.

Wow! I'm very impressed by the result. This is a very good use of flash and the sepia tones are fitting. Nice capture.

I like the (almost) over-exposed yello Iris. It helps the overall contrast you were trying to convey. Would you mind sharing the equipment used?

I'm intrigued by your execution, but wondering about the concept. As a night shot, it is very well accomplished. I view this as somewhat abstract. Nice job overall.

Nice capture. You have a good eye, especially for your fore/background play in this photo. The signs look like they've seen better days.

You have created a stellar floral portfolio, Jennifer. This is no exception as its composition and color scheme is definately not run-of-the-mill. I love the bugs.

Great use of fill flash! Wow, all the colors and tones are where they need to be, and so balanced the sky is! Fantastic job.
