Lol. Thanks Roger. I don't think i'm active enough on these forums these days to be worthy of comments!
Glad you liked the shot though. Was umming and aahhing over this one cause of the blurriness of it, but liked something about it in that abstract sort of way.
Cheers.

Hi Roger. Unfortunately its the 9-5 grind that has stopped me posting more! I'm no longer a uni bum. I have lots of photos on my computer but just havent had the time to fiddle with them and upload.

Thanks. Yeah, would have loved a longer exposure, but unfortunately I had to leave for the 3 hour trip home. I would have put a polariser filter on to darken it but I left it in the car.

Thanks. You can put the saturation and colour problem down to my LCD monitor. I've always struggled to calibrate it properly. Maybe when i see it on a CRT i will do some fiddling and repost it.

Wow, great shot... i love the contrast of the natural energy of the sun against (what i assume to be), the manmade energy of a power station.

Thanks Margaret. I didnt crop out the ship as it is what Newcastle is known for. You see, the Hunter Valley (near newcastle) is a huge coal mining area. There is a big port at newcastle where the ships load the coal. At any time from the beach you can see up to 20 ships waiting to enter the port and load up. So for that reason... i thought with a photo of the world's best surfer, i had to 'newcastleise' it.
if it wasnt for this i probably would have went for the crop.

Thanks for the constructive criticism! Yes, i agree, i should have put a border on it. dont know why i didnt to be honest.
And i didnt even notice the missing tile! it was the light shining thought the door, making it light... i should pay more attention to detail. lol.

Some more surf photos to come over the next few days for you. The pros were in town this weekend, surf was ordinary but they made it look good.
Keep the snowboard photos coming dude
