Hey buddy, This is the entrance to the ride soarin' @ Epcot center. Its a simulated hang glider ride over California. They've got the same ride on your side of the planet.

I used the "dummy" setting (the sports/action preset) on the camera and I set the camera to shoot continuous and rattled of maybe 15 shots to get this one. These moments are so fleeting that the lens only grabs 2 or 3 shots in focus and of those only one was with the bird in a nice position and head to toe in focus.
White birds are really tough because, if the background is properly exposed, the bird is too bright and the details are blown-out, so you've gotta shoot like a stop down or more depending on how bright the day is. With the 20d, I find it hard to assess the quality of my shots because of the small size of the display, so I end up taking 30 to 40 shots of one subject.....just in case.
I hope this helps, it's what I do.
