John, this is an amazing photograph...
you have combined the gorgeous, heavenly colors of a sky at sunset and complimented it with a group of homes in the shadows which come out as if there are in black in white...this reminds me of the surreal works of art from Rene Margitte, precisely, his painting, Empire of light.
Wonderful, wonderful job on this...
For me you have a ghostly balance...
the heavenly sky, and the almost deserted, abandoned homes, almost as if the sould of the departed soared skyward and brought magical colors on their ascension to heaven...
