It's a great photo, but the toning and spotlight you used really added to it. Nice work, Rach!

I do like the silhouette and the sky is lovely. As there is quite a lot of foreground, maybe a little lightening would give it more balance, or a bit of a crop at the bottom have had a fiddle see if you like it

How did you manage such balanced lighting yet have nice shadow and DOF? Excellent detail here and color too! Austin, huh? I'm in Spring, TX so seeing this bluebonnet I had to look! Have taken a few myself -- can't resist the wildflowers in Spring!!!!

The blur is very slight Racheal and I think it lends towards motion. I love the perspective here, that is really what defines this photo.

Interesting shot, it's pity that the boy's face isn't in focus.

That's great! My first thought was that he looked familiar before I saw your name under the caption. In thumbnail I couldn't tell what it was since I saw these shoes and then the baby. Opened it it made for an interesting view - great, fun photo!

Easily one of the best pregnancy shots I've seen for quite a while - unique, very well executed! As a bw lover I've to say: I would love to see this one in bw :-)

Exceptional work!

I so glad you posted this one Rach! I really like the detail, clarity and the glow on the skin of the strawberry from the light. Your best so far!

Nice pic Rach. Maybe a slightly different crop to take off some the brightness by the stem would work. Also, try adding an unsharp mask and maybe increasing the contrast a little. I really like the dof and colors!

To control this with your camera your can use the Exposure compensation... ? 2.0 stops (in 1/3-stop increments) to see how this works see attached links.

I agree with you...the hot spot on the stem and top of the strawberry has lost the detail. maybe a diffuser sheet or a polerising filter would be of some use here. Still a good shot though.
