I agree with your comment about Blue Heron's being very regal, it's so true! Also I really like the reflections in the water surrounding the beautful subject. Great job!

She must have been a real beauty in her day. She looks like she still has a good roof over her. Nice shot.

Neat scene. In my limited experience, I've never seen more than two fight at once.

Love the colors, and your ability to capture the texture of the "threads" around the flower. I would like a copy of this. wen

Interesting Wildlife shot. It's like a buffett. We take out next meal for granted. For them it's always a blessing.

Hello Shane
Yes it was about that time of the year...it was about 10 am here...but until now i never knew anything about it..just that i thought it was amazing to see..i was supprised to see it turned out like this..to the naked eye it was a brilliant white ...with gray fog..surrounding it..and of course the blk dot that was the sun spot# 649...great..now i know what i recorded
thanks
Rex

Rex this is a great shot! Not many people notice stuff like this, and to capture it is even more rare. This sunspot looks like it was taken in July of 2004. That would make it sunspot 649, which was bigger than Jupiter. I took a similar picture of it, but it was low on the horizon and behind some power lines. You easily have the better shot! Good job!

Great capture, Rex. I assume you had to be patient to get this kind of shot. Is there a fifth animal coming from the background to help?

Great capture. I've recently bought the little Canon Compact Macro on EBay, but I've not gotten any shot as good as this one.

Not an insect expert, I do believe the "fuzz" are "feelers," and--I suppose--are also pollen transports. That will do until somebody who really knows something comes along. :-)

Regards,
--George

So much history it must have, I can imagine. It truly is sad to see it left in that condition. Great capture Rex. Happy New Year
