Beautiful image, Roland! Hope my images of Antelope will be this good but I doubt it....

Anyway, it was good meeting you!!

Cheers,
Julian.

I think the high-contrast treatment works well here - it really brings out the lines and patterns.

I also have a ferris wheel image somewhere and this is defintely food for thought....

Thanks everyone! My first upload here and such kind comments!

I think I might just stick around.... ;-)

I like the juxtaposition and the way this says 'Venice' while not being one of the usual cliched shots. A definite 7!

Nice graphic shapes and beautiful colour but it looks a little flat, to me. Would have preferred a little more shadow detail...

Great shot! Just goes to show you shouldn't stop shooting when it rains! Excellent observation and composition.

Nice work! I particulalry like the use of a soft-focus vignette here as it gives the image an extra dimension. The title is very apt!

Nice composition and exposing for the shadows gives the picture a nice moody look.

However, this is offset by the blown highlights in the background. Unfortunately, the eye is drawn directly to the bright parts of the image, totally disrupting the mood created by the rest of the image.

Felipe,

I took a whole bunch of shots of this subject, some centred, others off-centre and some with more or less of the foreground. This one is the one that worked the best, I think.

I think what you need to do here is to lose the grass in the foreground and get in close! The grass adds nothing to the scene and the main subjects are far too small in relation. I would either have moved closer or used a tele...

Very well composed image. Am in two minds about the palm tree, though. On the one hand, the pic definitely loses something without it, but on the other, it looks a bit like it's a model tree being waved in front of the lens!
