Excellent improvement. My photoshop skills are weak so I don't toy with trimmings like that too much but it adds so much to the picture. Thanks

Yes, forgot that I had the camera on apeture priority and so I ended up with a long exposure and some movement. I think that is what did it. The little monitor on the camera isn't always the best at reflecting small imperfections. Once I got it on screen, I realized what I had done.

I don't mind at all. My former employer frowned on photoshop use so I am still trying to hone my skills. Your's looks much better.

Thank you for your profound insight Portraiture is not my strong point. I was hoping for some suggestions to liven up such bland shots when the subjects are not always the most cooperative or are getting their picture taken to satisfy children or grandchildren, as was the case in this shot.
