nice composition, lovely expression and nice colour tone! but, maybe I think next time you can use reflector on the other side,so the shadow would be less blocking half the model.Nice shot!

Hi Karl,

this one and meggie1 are my favourites (of this series)
I like the kind of lightning - its currently very rare that fashion work will be done only with available light - although I love this kind of working too !
Also compliments for your webpage. especially the design and the fonts are interacting in a harmonic way with your "natural" way of work.

like it a lot - now your are on my associates list - how there will come some more of your great work ...and ... ahmmm ... sorry for my rusty english

cheers

Christian

Karl,
A small thin dark border would make a very big difference to the presentation, because of the Usefilm background being white. (same colour as a lot of your photo.

I really like this picture and your whole portfolio. Good use of natural light. The Portra 400NC is always a good choice for that kind of pics.

thanks! i use portra 400 nc film as opposed to vc (vivid color), and i scan the negs. i used to scan using kodak master scans which i loved, they were cheap, $2, and the colors were close to the contact sheets and blended well, then they stopped master scans. i had to switch to what are called pro cd scans they are higher resolution, 22 megs, but i have to do more color correcting than before and they are more expensive $8 per scan still cheap for most but not like before. those master scans primarily gave me that nice soft look.-k

Confident pose by an experienced model, and what a wonderful beaming light from behind to 'back her up'.
