Is that the Watergate in the distance?

This is a good photo to illustrate how lines lead the eye around your photo, like some tour-guide.

Had I been standing there, I would have made either the right or left side of the boardwalk intersect one of the lower corners of the photo. I'd probably go with the right edge by the water, since it curves back INTO the shot.

Great exposure, but I wouldn't have left the gazebo centered horizontally like that. Use the rule of thirds and it will increase the impact of your images, Van.

It seems no one in this photo is in 'Dire Straits', either.
Nice shadowplay in the background; it almost dominates the shot.

Hi Van,
I will give your game ago.
My initial thoughts were that it is of some teeth form some cogs, but for some reason my idea has developed into the inside of an old school pencil sharpner.
You have a great abstract eye Van, you should look at developing this, just get in and take some unusual angles. I feel you will find some gems.
About the shot, I personally would have prefered to have a touch of sharp focus to the image, just say so one of what I am calling teeth, to be in charp clear focus. Unless of course this this is rotating.
Love the lighting and the angle. Awesome, will check out the answer that you have posted.
