well i wouldnt say i was considering tossing the idea, just post ponening it. i mean really, who would ever consider tossing the peep hole idea :)
soon as i get settled in with my move i will get back to photography and even finally post pictures to my account here.
on another note, i was searching for some other peep hole images and i saw that some people put a hole into their lens caps and screwed it in, that might work for SD550, but it will be seeing through the peephole only, and i very much like the way you did it with the peephole view and the normal lens view.

i like the picture, a bit darker than i remember 
and yes i can just barely make out the blue in the water, but only because you mentioned it, otherwise i never would have noticed.
