Harold,

I have too many pictures (218) already in my portfolio. It must be hard for people to find these pictures. They have been there a long time and haven't received many comments, plus I do not feel they are representative of my best work.

Someone made a comment on a forum that the difference between an pro and an amateur is that a pro know what to show and what not to show. I am trying to be ruthless with my choices of what to delete and what to keep. I have moved some pictures (not enough) into the "to be deleted" portfolio while I make up my mind and my courage to zap them.

If you like the pictures and they are your favourites, and even if you think I did something horribly wrong, your views will always be welcome and appreciated.

Take care,
Angelo.

Angelo,

Thank you for the kind comments. I appreciate anything constructive. I looked at your portfolio and found many images that are superlative but I was most interested in the category "to be deleted." Several in this category are among my favorites including "Gate Shadows," "Frosted Bamboo Leaves" and "Park House" and I wonder why you would delete them. In any event, keep up the good work.
Regards,
Harold

All the conversions are beginning to show, Harold. I'd recommend you try scanning the slide directly.

Harold,

Awesome details, colours and tones in this macro. You picked a nice subject for macro and presented a very nice view of it.

Quite how you can get 58 views and not a single comment on this one is totally beyond me.

A nice image unfortunately ruined by the scanner.... The lines running down the image really detract from what is otherwise a striking shot. Composition id superb with the diagonals of the hills creating a wonderful repetition of form throughout the image. Well done with taking this!

Well noticed, and well done getting a camera quick enough to capture it. Interesting composition with the spider sideways, but it works. Great depth of field too. Thanks for your comment.
