Yes, it was taken through glass without a flash with a small digital camera that I just pushed tight against the glass.

Well captured!!! An amazing photo of a beautiful creature. Good use of light. The image is fairly sharp, however you've lost a lot of background focus with the shallow depth of field. Compensate with a slower shutter speed for better depth of field. You have made good use of the available space - the subject is definately the central focus. Great work.
