I have to say that I was disappointed when I went to this location this year to find this tree had recently fallen over the falls and stuck there. Though in retrospect it made for a different view.

nice shot. good use of slow shutter. you nailed the exposure pretty well. don't know how you balanced it between the foreground leaves and distant trees across the falls.

Yes, that crop would work nicely this being 18mm I've already chopped a lot off of the top. The focus is the branch and the background is the bonus so to speak on this photo. I've posted a few other views of this falls check them out.

Jim,
I really enjoy you photo. I like the composition with one exception. If it were my photo I would crop out the lower portion to exclude the dead branch and most of the rocks. The details you achieved on the watter falls and the DOF of the trees almost look 3-D. Darryl
