I like the motiv, and the angle, I just thing it needs more sunlight and shadows, seems it was cloudy that day.

Almost surrealist in effect.

Am I right to have a sense that I've seen this somewhere before or am I dreaming it?

Whatever, it's a really good picture.

Hi Michael, I just love this sunset photo. Shooting into the sun, even with a bit of cloud cover, is about as hard as you can get, and never knowing if the flare is going to ruin the shot till it's developed.Exposure is a nightmare. We digital followers can get an instant preview. Ian Pearson

Hi Michael, Nice photo, needs cropping top to just get rid of the plain white sky, and a bit off the bottom. The composition would be much improved if the boat was at about 30 deg to you and not square on.A bit more colour saturation would bring out the richness of the rocky cliff face and the green sea.Have you considered going digital? Ian Pearson.

Hi Michael,Composition spoils this shot, but all is not lost. I would crop the top to get rid of the horizon and the bottom to get rid of the beach and one third of the left side to get the fisherman leaning into the photo, and then increase the contrast to sharpen up the focal point, and make the rocks more prominant. He really looks lonely now with all those rocks and water around him. Hi Michael,This photo has too many conflicting points of interest. The main interest point is the panorama of the hills and curving shoreline and should have been taken with at least a 35mm or 28mm wide angle lens. The other interest point is the action on the beach and doesn't even figure in the composition. The colours are all washed out overall. Hi Michael,

1. The size of the photo is too small.
2. If you focus on the fishermen; they should not be on the center.
3. The time of taking the picture is not good for light usage.
4. The last yacht should be completely included.

Regards,

Very awesome picture, though it's too soon after school to want to revisit these times in my mind. I like your use of a warm WB.
