Seeing all three of these, all good, this one has more drama because of the wider format and the complimentary curves of the cloud and horizon. The sky weighs heavy on the ground, the bowl of the land makes it appear as if the land is being sucked up into the sky.

What a great photo.
We had some pretty bad weather here in Sydney last Friday and I swear the clouds were very similar. I was quite nervous!

I like this photo a lot. Just a suggestion: I'd try focusing on the flower. I'm not sure what you mean by "Why is the resolution so low when using macros?". Are you confusing resolution with Depth of Field (ie how much of the picture is in focus)?
